Fröskog’s energy farm in Åmål consists of 36 MW of wind power and 14 MW of solar power and was recently put into operation.
On May 20, this was celebrated with a very well visited open house for local residents and local entrepreneurs. The program included both a visit to the solar farm and the much-appreciated opportunity to see a wind turbine from the inside. This was accompanied by fantastic food from the BBQ artists Holy Smoke and local Brukskällan Brewery, Brukets Godaste and Not Quite Bistro.
The day offered brilliant sunshine and calm winds and illustrated perfectly how solar and wind power complement each other and contribute to a smooth production profile with an efficient use of the electricity grid.
Vasa Vind is now also investigating the possibility of adding a battery in Fröskog in order to further increase the flexibility of the energy farm.
